I HAVE spent the better part of 40 years going through Arrochar.
It was always a stopping place on journeys to Inveraray, Oban, Dunoon
and Tighnabruaich, before tackling the Rest and Be Thankful. So it
was a surprise to me when we turned down the loch road to
Garelochhead and found the Village Inn.
Situated right at the head of the loch, it has breathtaking views
over Loch Long and the so-called Arrochar Alps - including the world-
famous Cobbler, which draws walkers from across the globe.
The Village Inn has a wonderful beer garden and decking area,
which allow you to sit outside and drink in the view - ...
