The theme for De Paul basketball this year is "Celebrating a
Decade of Excellence," which amounts to raising a toast to Mark
Aguirre, Terry Cummings, Dallas Comegys, Clyde Bradshaw, Dave
Corzine, Rod Strickland, Coach Ray Meyer and all the other Blue
Demons who made De Paul a power the last 10 years.
As it turns out, De Paul may need to be reminded of all that
right about now. The Blue Demons who visit Capital Centre this
afternoon to play Georgetown at 3:45 don't resemble the De Paul that
college basketball fans have grown accustomed to seeing. Those De
Paul teams won 240 games in 10 years, compiled a better winning
percentage (79.7) than anybody except North Carolina and Nevada-Las ...
