A TWO-BEDROOM flat in Edinburgh has sold for more than half a
million pounds - the highest price paid for a property of its size in
the capital.
Almost 100 people viewed the designer property in Stockbridge over
a two-week period. The flat eventually sold to a buyer from London
who is moving to Edinburgh.
The stylish home, at 28 Dean Street, was advertised at offers over
GBP 420,000.
While prices of more than GBP 1 million are now commonplace for
townhouses in the New Town, these properties typically have four or
more bedrooms.
Simon Fairclough, marketing director of the Edinburgh Solicitors
Property Centre, said: "I can't find anything approaching this [in
our records]. Lots of flats ...
