A PENSIONER who stole her neighbours' koi carp and fried them as
they looked on was yesterday ordered to pay more than GBP 10,000 in
damages.
Ellen Jones, 75, netted the fish from the garden pond of Mark and
Jane Fowler and dined al fresco, making sure they could see.
The Fowlers and Jones were engaged in a lengthy feud during which
they claim she allowed illegal raves and war games on her land and
threw dog faeces on to their fence.
The Fowlers were claiming GBP 75,000 at Lewes County Court for
loss of value of their GBP 450,000 farm house in Newchapel, Surrey
and an undisclosed sum for harassment.
