A marriage between sport and the stock market is not as
unreasonable as one might initially think
WHAT is the relationship between the stock market and sport?
Well, many would have you think it is laughable.
For a start the stock market has fallen more than 40 per cent
since its peak in 2000. Sports representation on the stock market to
date has been small and mainly focused on football clubs, although
sports agents, golf courses and stadium debentures are also traded.
It doesn't have to be like this. One of the greatest myths is that
the stock market is a complicated vehicle that may never be
understood. The stock market is simply a meeting place for investors
