MORGAN Freeman must be tired of doing films that require him to be
quietly dignified. What other excuse would he have for appearing in
High Crimes as an alcoholic lawyer who wears an earring, rides a
Harley and actually says things like "I'm the wildcard" just in case
his attire and mode of transport don't clue you into how off-the-
wall he is?
Re-united with his sassy Kiss the Girls co-star Ashley Judd (who
is not quite so sassy anymore, but still knows how to get herself
into peril then kickbox her way out of it), Freeman's hip old man
routine is down-the-line embarrassing. And yet it's still the best
thing in the film.
