Linebacker Harry Carson's 11 years with the New York Giants have
been more of an odyssey than a career. He is a man of ferocious
pride and physical power, the Gatorade bandit whose disdain for
mediocrity was put to the supreme test by the Giants teams of years
gone by.
So now Carson stands here before the gathered media, smiling
broadly, like a man who, after 10 long years, has helped lead his
