In a span of three weeks, Mackin senior Shawn Johnson has gone
from an average player to a very good player.
Johnson, a 6-foot-3 forward, showed his improvement last Friday
when the Trojans upset fourth-ranked St. John's, 59-58, in a key
Metro Conference game.
The victory improved Mackin's record to 9-8 overall, 4-3 in the
league.
"The last couple of weeks I've got more into the offense and
started to take more shots," said Johnson, who has averaged 17 points
per game the last three weeks.
