album called Your New Favourite Band. In 2001, Swedish garage rock
quintet The Hives issued it like an order, and the rock world
sensibly submitted to these sonic gangsters.
In the right hands, self-belief is a magnet. Those pristine
uniform outfits - starched black shirts, white ties or cravats, even
spats on the sleeve of this new CD - advertise that The Hives mean
business. Their names - Howlin' Pelle Almqvist, Nicholaus Arson, Dr
