Elizabeth C. Macdonald, 87, a science teacher and guidance
counselor in the Montgomery County school system from 1927 until she
retired in 1965, died of pneumonia Feb. 6 at the Washington Adventist
Hospital.
Mrs. Macdonald, a resident of Silver Spring, was born in
Washington and was a graduate of the old Central High School. She
also graduated from the University of Wisconsin and earned a
bachelor's degree in education at George Washington University.
Mrs. Macdonald began her career as a teacher at Poolesville High
School. From 1943 until she retired, she was at Montgomery Blair
High School in Silver Spring, where she taught mathematics and
chemistry and was chairman of the science ...
