ITCHY EYES, sore throats, and runny noses are all symptoms that plague allergy sufferers. Yet unbeknown to many, a number of the things that irritate sensitive immune systems are in our own homes.

You may not be able to see them, but the main culprits are allergens such as pollen, dust mites, mould spores and pet dander, and, once inhaled, they can trigger a whole range of symptoms which are at best annoying but at worst debilitating.

As part of National Indoor Allergy Week this week, the charity Allergy UK are encouraging sufferers to fight back.
