EDINBURGH returned to winning ways at Murrayfield last night, but
they struggled to convince in a match that had all the intensity of a
pensioners' party.
There are some aspects of rugby one can coach and improve, but
intelligence is something different altogether. Edinburgh have shown
in recent times that they have the talent, fitness, strength and
confidence to match the best, but they still lack the number of
players capable of reading a game necessary to become impressive
winners.
Last week they were criticised by coach Todd Blackadder for
failing to adapt to the Borders' aggressive style, and he demanded
that they learn quickly ...
