SEAN Lineen said he was "delighted" to be tasked with halting the
slide of Glasgow's professional team and insisted his team was not
being treated as second-class citizens to Edinburgh, who he missed
out on joining.
The 1990 Grand Slam winner was yesterday installed as head coach
with the Warriors, taking over from Hugh Campbell, who the team was
informed yesterday morning had been sacked after the 31-3 defeat to
Cardiff on Friday night. Lineen has agreed a new two-year contract
with Shade Munro remaining as forwards coach, Gary Mercer working
with Lineen on back play and specialising in defence and Mark Bitcom
