INSURANCE claims are falling short by up to GBP 1.2 billion a
year, new research reveals.
A study, commissioned by MoneyExpert.com, found that around 5.74
million home insurance customers were not paid the full amount they
claimed for in the past five years, with shortfalls amounting to
around GBP 3.59bn. More than 5.07 million car claims were also not
met in full, after taking into account excesses agreed with insurers.
