EDINBURGH produced a spirited second-half display last night to
emerge from a fairly uninspiring encounter back in joint third spot
in the league and with their title aspirations given fresh hope.
Lynn Howells' side had lost five of their last six competitive
matches, including three in the league, and were in desperate need of
a pick-me-up.
The first quarter struggled to spark into any form of life, both
sides struggling to find space for any real creativity once into the
third or fourth phase of possession. The best opportunities stemmed
from the kicking of Duncan Hodge, a late call-up for Phil Godman, who
