Diana: The Witnesses in the Tunnel, Channel 4 Ugly Betty, E4

AFTER all the hype, what were those images, the ones the princes didn't want shown in Diana: The Witnesses in the Tunnel? Not that much. Black and blurry and grainy - almost stylised, like some would- be controversial artist had already made them into screen-prints. Shots of the back of the car, of a detached bumper, of police and passing students holding back photographers.

And then one picture showing the princess being given oxygen by a doctor who had arrived at the scene. At least that's what they said it was: with a blank square blocking out her face, all you could see was a blurred shape. It told you precisely nothing.
