WASHINGTON, Jan. 22 /U.S. Newswire/ -- VSA arts and MetLife
Foundation announce the selection of the 2002 VSA arts/MetLife
Cultural Access Award recipients. The awards recognize performing
arts organizations and museums for making the arts more accessible to
people with disabilities.
In the performing arts category, BAPA's Imagination Stage in
Bethesda, Maryland, and the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities
in Arvada, Colorado, receive awards for innovative programming. In
the museum category, the Dayton (Ohio) Art Institute receives an
award for its Access Art internet tour of its permanent collection.
Each recipient, selected from 21 national entries, will receive
