WASHINGTON, April 8 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Sixteen national environmental groups today ran a full page newspaper advertisement as part of an intensive month-long public education campaign, coinciding with the traditional observance of Earth Day on April 22, to educate the public about recent and current efforts by the Bush Administration to weaken environmental protections.

The full-page ad in USA Today features a picture of the White House and says: "Wrecking laws that protect our environment is easy when big corporations tell you exactly how to do it."
