The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities will hold conference
call briefings Thursday, July 25, 2002 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. (ET) to
release a new analysis that closely examines the assumptions,
accounting methodology and conclusions of the Mid-Session Review
released by the Office of Management and Budget on the afternoon of
Friday, July 12, 2002. The briefings will also include a broader
discussion of the status of budget and appropriations measures on
Capitol Hill, growing threats of erosion of fiscal discipline and the
lack of transparent accounting in the administration's presentation
of budget figures and forecasts.
