One model had to take high heels home from the Calvin Klein
rehearsal to practice wearing them before the show. Other models
were wearing bras, made by the designer, for the first time.
Klein gave a new shape and posture to the clothes in his fall
collection. And the audience loved it. "I'm in heaven. I'm in
heaven," said Dawn Mello, president of Bergdorf Goodman. "It's up
there with the best of the European designers," said Bloomingdale's
Kal Ruttenstein, who like many in the audience recently finished up
the three-week round of fall showings in Paris, London and Milan.
