Article: Illinois State Rifle Association, Two of Its Executive Board Members Must Pay $98,013 in Gun Control Group's Attorneys' Fees

CHICAGO, March 25 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Federal Judge James B. Zagel (Northern District of Illinois) has ordered the Illinois State Rifle Association and two of its executive board members to pay nearly $100,000 in attorneys' fees to lawyers representing the primary Illinois gun control group.

The court decision resulted from an action in the spring of 2002, at which time the defendants in the case incorporated as a non- profit organization using the name of the primary gun control group in Illinois, the Illinois Council Against Handgun Violence.
