Article: Closing Veterans Health Care Funding Gap Essential, Says Disabled American Veterans

WASHINGTON, June 5 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Statements made by the co- chair of a presidential task force on veterans health care have raised serious concerns about the nation's commitment to caring for sick and disabled veterans, according to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).

A recently released report by the President's Task Force to Improve Health Care Delivery for Our Nation's Veterans noted a "mismatch" between demand for health care and the resources available to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to meet that demand. But that is not the only "mismatch," said DAV Washington Headquarters Executive Director David W. Gorman.
