The innovative computers, printers and peripherals that make up
IBM's vaunted new "Personal System/2" (hereinafter PS/2) are starting
to arrive in the stores, and the new operating system for PS/2 won't
be out for a year or so. The new system, revealed with great hoopla
this month, is so new that you'd be skating on extremely thin ice if
you tried to predict the winners and losers from IBM's big
announcement.
Gentle reader, pass the water wings-we're going to do some
predicting.
Big Winner No. 1: You and me.
The average computer user is going to win big from this
development, because the new IBM computers are genuinely better.
