The chairlift has just closed after a long day of spring skiing,
and thousands of skiers are pouring off the mountain toward the
standard apres-ski destinations: the fireplace, the lounge, the hot
tub.
But one small group is headed for a somewhat different
post-skiing pastime. Still attired in stretch pants and parkas, a
half-dozen doctors and lawyers gather in a condominium at the base of
the lift to hear a 90-minute videotaped lecture on "Vertical
Integration of Multispecialty Group Practice."
These skiers have become students partly because of their
determination to improve their professional performance. But another
explanation for their presence in the "classroom" here is section 162 ...
