SACRAMENTO, Calif., May 16 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The California
Department of Boating and Waterways will join with the National Safe
Boating Council and a variety of law enforcement and water safety
advocates to sponsor a family event to help kick-off National Safe
Boating Week on May 16, at Burton Chace Park in Marina Del Rey. The
event is part of the nationwide 2003 North American Safe Boating
Campaign. "Boat Smart. Boat Safe. Wear It!" is the 2003 campaign
slogan that organizations across the country will be promoting.
