As public health budgets tighten across the country, the 2003 National Conference on Tobacco or Health will focus on continuing the tobacco control movement's progress despite difficult financial times. The annual conference, the nation's largest gathering of public health and tobacco control professionals and the most comprehensive forum of its kind, also will highlight recent victories in tobacco control, including smoke-free policies in Boston, New York City, and Delaware, and last week's passage of a Massachusetts smoke- free worksites bill.
