WASHINGTON, March 23 /U.S. Newswire/ -- George W. Bush's campaign spokesman today put his tongue in his cheek and thumbed his nose at the 2.6 million American soldiers who served honorably in Vietnam.

Bush spokesman Terry Holt made the remarks in a Washington Post story about John Kerry's positive new television ads which emphasize Kerry's 35-year record of fighting for his country, including service in the Mekong Delta in Vietnam during which he earned a silver star, a bronze star and three purple hearts.

"John Kerry's campaign seems to be summed up this way: I went to Vietnam, yadda, yadda, yadda, I want to be president," Holt said.
