SAN ANTONIO, April 29 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The American Payroll
Association's (APA) initial review of the U.S. Department of Labor's
final revisions to the Fair Labor Standards Act regulations governing
overtime exemption requirements for white- collar workers is very
positive, and the association is pleased with the overall direction
and guidance that the DOL provides employers and workers.
APA was called upon in January to testify before the Senate on
this issue, and urged the DOL to provide additional guidance for
classifying workers as exempt or non-exempt. After more than 50 years
of relative inattention to outdated overtime regulations, APA
