WASHINGTON, May 12 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Underscoring the essential
role of the travel-and-tourism industry to the $440 billion
restaurant industry and the overall national economy, the National
Restaurant Association today sponsored and participated in a national
tourism summit entitled, "Securing the Future of Travel and Tourism."
The event is being held during National Tourism Week (May 8-16),
which is celebrated nationwide and supported by the Association.
The summit is sponsored by the National Chamber Foundation and the
U.S. Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the National Restaurant
