WHAT: "A Night at the Newsreels: World War II on Film," a
cooperative effort between the Newseum, The Smithsonian Associates
and the National Press Club, will recreate a night at the movies,
1940's style. The program will feature footage from the war years and
a panel discussion of newsreel experts, journalists and historians
who will examine the role of newsreel in reporting the war and the
evolution of visual news.
