PROVIDENCE, R.I., Feb. 10 /U.S. Newswire/ -- A report finds that
today Rhode Island's African-American disfranchisement rate is higher
than Mississippi, Louisiana, Georgia, Texas, and 33 other states.
-- Rhode Island has the nation's 13th highest rate of African-
American disfranchisement
-- Rhode Island bars a larger percentage of African-Americans from
voting than Mississippi, Louisiana, Georgia, North Carolina, South
Carolina, and Tennessee.
