Md. Man Is Fined for Campaign Violation;Ads in Montgomery Executive Race Lead to $3,000 Penalty

Gaithersburg businessman Aris Mardirossian, a political activist who, along with two of his companies, has plowed thousands of dollars into local and state campaigns, was fined the maximum of $3,000 yesterday for violating the state election law during the 1986 race for Montgomery County executive.

Mardirossian pleaded no contest to the charge that he had financed several political advertisements published by an unregistered political committee supporting the candidacy of Sidney Kramer for county executive and opposing Kramer's opponent, council member David L. Scull. Kramer defeated Scull in the Democratic primary and then was elected last November.
