ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., June 15 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The Hinchey-
Rohrabacher amendment would have prohibited the U.S. Justice
Department (including the DEA) from allocating funds to enforce
federal drug laws in states that have legalized marijuana for so-
called medical purposes. This amendment was defeated in Congress
today by nearly double the votes.
