NEW YORK, May 23 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Quinnipiac University of
Hamden, Conn., presented the 13th annual Fred Friendly First
Amendment Award to Tim Russert, moderator of NBC's "Meet the Press,"
during a luncheon at the Metropolitan Club on May 23.
Named after the legendary former CBS News president, the Fred
Friendly First Amendment Award acknowledges one of the most basic
constitutional rights and honors those who have shown courage and
forthrightness in preserving that right.
