Article: Johnson County Library Recipient of Nation's Highest Honor for Outstanding Public Service

OVERLAND PARK, Kansas, Nov. 30 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Johnson County Library, Overland Park (Kansas) was named today as one of six recipients of the 2005 National Award for Museum and Library Service. This is the nation's highest honor for extraordinary public service provided by a library or museum.

The awards were announced today, November 30, in Washington, D. C. by Mary L. Chute, acting director of the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).
