Former Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) Tommy G.
Thompson will receive an award from Children's Hospice International
(CHI) for his outstanding work on behalf of U.S. children at a
reception on Capitol Hill on Wednesday, Oct. 12, it was announced
today.
Ann Armstrong-Dailey, founding director and CEO of the Alexandria,
VA-based children's advocacy group, will present "The Mattie Stepanek
Award" to Thompson for his distinguished service on behalf of 10
million children who are suffering with life-threatening conditions,
and their families.
