WASHINGTON, Oct. 25 /U.S. Newswire/ -- On Tuesday, October 25, the
National Archives hosted the press conference announcing Washington,
D.C. Celebrates American Originals - a summertime citywide tourism
promotion for 2006, in partnership with The American Experience
Foundation, the Washington, D.C. Convention & Tourism Corporation
(WCTC) and Cultural Tourism D.C. (CTdc).
From Memorial Day through Labor Day 2006, the National Archives
and other cultural institutions will join in a collaborative effort
to introduce summer visitors to their all- American treasures, from
the jazz clubs of U Street to the Charters of Freedom at the National
