Grey's Anatomy star Isaiah Washington is working with the
Narcolepsy Network on the first-ever national campaign to increase
understanding of narcolepsy. Narcolepsy is a sleep disorder that
affects approximately 200,000 people in the U.S., the majority of
which are undiagnosed.
Washington, best known for his recurring role as Dr. Preston Burke
on the Golden Globe-nominated series Grey's Anatomy, is featured in a
series of public service announcements that encourage people who
suspect they have narcolepsy to see their doctor. Washington has a
close friend with narcolepsy.
