CHICAGO, Aug. 9 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The Chicago Urban League (CUL) board of directors today announced that it has appointed Cheryle Jackson as president and CEO, making her the first woman to lead the social and civil justice organization in its 90-year history. Currently the deputy chief of staff for communications for Illinois Gov. Rod R. Blagojevich, Jackson will begin her CUL tenure on October 1.
