WASHINGTON, July 18 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The Council for Citizens Against Government Waste (CCAGW) today released its 2005 Congressional Ratings. For 17 years, CCAGW has examined roll- call votes to separate the taxpayer advocates in Congress from those who favor wasteful programs and pork-barrel spending.

The 2005 Congressional Ratings cover the voting year 2005, or the first session of the 109th Congress. CCAGW rated 34 key votes in the House and 24 key votes in the Senate.
