Q Many thanks for your 1986 Guide to Taxes. You have made an
undesirable, but necessary, task much easier. One item in the guide
I wish to address: Under medical expenses you state a "legal"
abortion is deductible. I'm unaware abortion has been legalized.
Don't you mean "decriminalized?"
A No, I meant what I said. Of course, like every one else, I
have my personal opinion on the subject of abortion-an opinion I have
no intention of disclosing in this forum.
From time to time I present opinions here, but usually they are
limited to appropriate subjects like tax matters, investments, estate
