Article: Redskins' Brunell Breaks Index Finger

Redskins quarterback Mark Brunell will miss the next few weeks because of a broken bone in the index finger of his throwing hand, the team announced.

The injury occurred during practice Wednesday, and Brunell did not work out for the remainder of the week. The team characterized the injury as a "very minor hairline fracture" that did not require surgery. Brunell, however, will wear a splint and could miss the Redskins' June 16-18 minicamp. Training camp begins during the final week of July.
