KALAMA, Wash., June 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Cameron Family Glass
Packaging officially broke ground today on the first new glass plant
built in the United States in 30 years that will manufacture glass
exclusively for the wine industry. The facility -- funded by a $109
million financing the company completed last month -- is expected to
create at least 90 jobs in the Port of Kalama when it is completed in
the latter part of 2008.
Washington Governor Chris Gregoire opened the groundbreaking
ceremony at the site of the new plant in the Kalama River Industrial
Park.
