LANSING, Mich., Sept. 26 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Michigan Political History Society's 2007 fundraiser will celebrate the 25th anniversary of James J. Blanchard's election as governor. The dinner and program event will be held Friday, October 5, at the Country Club of Lansing.

Proceeds will be used by the bipartisan Society to update and greatly expand its collection of video histories of key individuals in the political life of Michigan. The collection will be renamed the Governor James J. Blanchard Living Library of Michigan Political History.
