Article: IMF Expected to Vote on New Loan for Turkey

The executive board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is expected to vote in mid-Aprilon the next 1.1-billion-dollar installment of a loan to Turkey, IMF spokesman Thomas Dawson said Thursday.

An IMF mission gave generally high marks to Turkey's economic performance when it finished its assessment March 18. But it said the next payment will not come until the government identifies jobcuts at state-run enterprises and makes a public debt management law work.
