Greyhound said Wednesday that its lead telephone sales agent who is visually impaired has won Employee of the Year Award from a U.S. magazine for people with disabilities.

Careers and the Disabled Magazine awarded Larry Garner because of his career accomplishments, said Greyhound, the largest North American provider of intercity bus transportation. He joined Greyhound in January 2000 as a telephone sales agent at one of thecompany's telephone information centers, which helps handle nearly33 million calls a year.
