DILI, East Timor, May 20 (Xinhua) -- China and East Timore formally established diplomatic relations at the ambassadorial level on Monday, May 20, 2002. The following is the full text of the joint communique on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, which was signed here on Monday by Chinese Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan and his East Timorese counterpart, Dr. Jose Ramos Horta.
