The Workers Party (PT) presidential candidate, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, is favorite to win in next October's elections in Brazil, according to an opinionpoll released on Tuesday.

Lula da Silva heads electoral preferences with 38 percent, while rivals, Brazilian Social Democracy Party (PSDB) candidate Jose Serra, and Anthony Garotinho of the Brazilian Socialist Party(PSB), have 16 percent each.
