Russia will not expand its military presence in Central Asia, head
of the Anti-Terrorist Center of the Commonwealth of Independent
States (CIS) told the press in Bishkek on Monday.
Boris Mylnikov, the head, said that the 201st Russian division
stationed in Tajikistan and its permanent units of the Federal Border
Service in other Central Asian republics are completely sufficient
even if the situation deteriorates.
