Iraq on Monday dismissed the claim made by U.S. Vice President
Dick Cheney on June 6 that Iraq has been trying to develop weapons of
mass destruction.
An Iraqi Foreign Ministry statement said that "on many occasions,"
Iraq said that it was not interested in joining the armament club
with weapons of mass destruction.
However, "If the U.S. has any suspicions on Iraq's activities,
installations or programs on weapons of mass destruction, it can
